Check Out What's New
Mrs. Crosby is sending her yarns to Yarns by Design! We'll have all the fibers in a selection of tonal and variegated colorways. Meet Mrs. Crosby at her website or on Facebook. My favorite Mrs. Crosby quote is "A great yarn is like a great man. A little work creates something wonderful you'll want to have around for years."
Extra! is a new alpaca/merino blend from Blue Sky Alpaca. It's wonderful to knit with and comfy to wear. Great for accessories - it only takes one skein to make a hat, fingerless mitts, or cowl. There's a beautiful wrap on display that takes two skeins. Perfect for fall knitting projects and holiday gifts.
New colors from Madeline Tosh are here, including the painterly colorways.
Heritage, from Briggs and Little, is a durable, classic wool made in Canada from Canadian wool. It has a rustic look and feel that is perfect for sweaters, boot socks, and outerwear. It comes in 44 colors. We also have Atlantic, a chunky version of Heritage. For a softer hand, we have Soft N Lite, a soft spun, fingering weight wool. It comes in six great hand-dyed colors.
Michelle Hunter's new book, "Building in Color" is in stock. We also have the Simplicity yarn that she uses in her samples. It's a very soft, machine washable DK yarn.
